The Cinque Terre is some of Italy’s most impressive coastline with breathtaking sea views and quaint colorful fishing villages. In fact, it is so unique that is is UNESCO world heritage listed because it “is a cultural landscape of great scenic and cultural value.”

Your private driver will pick you up directly at your hotel or apartment in Florence, take you to the Cinque Terre and be at your disposal throughout the day as you explore the seaside towns. The driver can be on standby, just a phone call away, or you can make an itinerary and schedule pick-ups in advance.

It is possible but not generally recommended that you try and visit all the towns in one day. An ideal itinerary is to visit either Riomaggiore or Manarola. Both towns are scenic and colorful. Early in the morning the locals will often be heading out on fishing boats, or already basking in the sun on the rocky platforms close to the water.

Not to be missed is Vernazza, arguably the cutest of the Cinque Terre towns for its little port which is home to bars and restaurants looking out on the colorful fishing boats that bob up and down as the local ferries pull in and out of port.

Finish up your day in Monterosso which is equally attractive for its old town, a maze of little laneways filled with shops and restaurants, as well as for its waterfront promenade. It is the only town with a real beach and a great way to end the day with the feeling of sand between your toes.

After a busy day exploring, you can sit back and relax on  the ride back to Florence.
