If you think Italians eat late, the dinner time here is even later.
There was one night we didn’t sit down to eat until midnight. Then it’s to the bars, to the clubs, to the afterparty, then home at 9 am to wake up at 4 pm and do it all over. Barcelona is a crazy place.

You’ll remember how much you miss the beach.
OK, maybe this isn’t true for everyone, but growing up on the beach and traveling to Barcelona makes me miss the ocean like nothing else. Going to Barcelona gives you a sea breeze unavailable here in Florence.

You’re going to rely on Taxis and the Subway.
While getting around in Florence on foot is the norm, in Barcelona things are much more spread out and taxis and the subway system will be used. If you’re there for a few days get the 3 day pass, it’ll be worth it.

You’re going to pay taxes.
What you see isn’t the flat price like in Florence. Spain does have a sales tax, so be sure to factor that in on all of your purchases!
